Sam Betar is a ceramic artist drawn to bold colors, rich textures, and organic forms. A chance encounter with ceramics during her sophomore year in college sparked a passion that led her to pursue a Studio Arts degree. She went on to further expand her knowledge through two summers of research at Juniata College, where she explored glaze formulation and material experimentation. She is currently based in Boston, Massachusetts, where she is pursuing a post-baccalaureate certificate in Ceramics. Sam will join the Southern Illinois University Carbondale Ceramics program as a first year graduate student in the fall of 2026.
